Davè Sicilian Taste

Our last dinner in Siracusa, in January no reservation necessary, staff speaks excellent English as well. Our waiter helped us decide what to choose and all his recommendations were spot on. It’s Sicilian cuisine in an elevated way. As a starter I had a beef tartare with Ragusa cheese cream and truffles, best tartare I’ve had so far. As my primi I chose a pasta with pumpkin, bacon and stracciatella cheese. No need for a secondi, otherwise no space for dessert. As dessert I had the pistachio bombolini - loved the detail that they actually looked like balloons with the knot on the bottom - also a delight and a must if you love pistachio. Loved the cozy atmosphere here, good for a date and romantic dinner. Would definitely come back here.

This restaurant is beautiful not only is it beautiful it is awesome!! The servers take care of you, each one of them said hello and it was welcoming. This place is good for taking your family, friends a date, kids and simply everything. The pasta alla norma is delicious along with the caponata! This you must try!!! The atmosphere is astounding with a taste of an artsy feel to it. I will definitely recommend to everyone an my friends and family.

We had an excellent dinner at Davè. The service was friendly and gave good recommendations. The fried anchovies were excellent. The grilled tuna was cooked perfectly as medium-rare, just as I ordered it. Nothing worse than getting overcooked tuna. The black garlic spaghettone was very tasty. The deconstructed cheesecake “I am not a cheesecake” was delightful. The lemon was filled with fig jam and was light. It came on a hazelnut crumble. There is a rather extensive wine list and contains mainly Sicilian wines. We found one which complemented the seafood well.

The best restaurant in Siracuza from our experience. Not a single thing to complain. Very good quality, amazing plates, service is excellent, fair prices. I would go again and again there. You should go there without a question.

Fabulous meal last night: easy to book online, welcoming staff, comfortable seating. As a solo diner I felt welcomed and unrushed. Amazing meal of: - appetisers of bread, olive oil and a ricotta and tomato pate - tuna tartare with apple and berries - gnocchi with clams, lemon and sea asparagus (samphire) - I am not a lemon cheesecake - complementary Sicilian Vino Bianco

If you want to try authentic elevated Sicilian cuisine in cosy setting, this is the place to go in Ortigia. The restaurant is not big, so a reservation might be necessary in high season. The decor is a mix of traditional and slightly modern with just the perfect amount of light. The service speaks good English, they explain everything well and make good recommendations. We had two starters, two mains two desserts and two glasses of wine. All for 118 EUR without tip. Everything tasted very well and the presentation was very good too. I highly recommend beef or amberjack tartar, grilled octopus, non-cheesecake and pistachio cream balls. There is also a wide selection of Sicilian wines and the recommendations were on spot. Thanks to the attentive service, intimate atmosphere and reasonable prices, I would recommend this place for couples, even on a special occasion.
